Chelsea attacker Kendry Paez has joined Argentina's River Plate for the rest of this year on-loan.

Paez was recalled from his loan with Strasbourg this week and sent to River for the rest of 2026 on Friday.

The Ecuador international spent the first half of the current season in France with Strasbourg, making 21 appearances for the Ligue 1 side across all competitions, but has now moved to River.

Paez officially joined Chelsea after his 18th birthday in May 2025.

He already had considerable experience from his 70 senior appearances for Independiente del Valle in his homeland Ecuador, and has also earned 23 international caps for his country.
