Real Madrid inform Kylian Mbappé of their offer to sign him as a free agent.
According to The Athletic, Kylian Mbappé (25) has been informed by Real Madrid of the latest details of their offer to sign him as a free agent in the summer of 2024. The new financial package offered to the Paris Saint-Germain attacker is lower than what was offered to him in 2022.
Real Madrid have a put limited deadline on their offer to Mbappé to avoid a repeat of the scandal in the previous negotiations in 2022, which ultimately saw the France captain sign a new contract with Les Parisiens, according to The Athletic. The deadline is mid-January. Despite this offer, PSG are still confident that Mbappé will sign an extension at the Parc des Princes, according to L’Équipe.
Mbappe was offered a €130million signing bonus and a salary of €26m per year in 2022. With Real Madrid’s sporting project less focused on Mbappé and less favourable finances of the club, any agreement between Mbappé and Los Blancos will be on reduced terms.
With the former Monaco forward now informed of the details of Real Madrid’s offer, the decision now lies up to him to decide where his long-term future will be. PSG also remain keen to keep him at the club. L’Équipe reports that a decision could made rather quickly and the long-standing transfer saga could come to an end.
