Sancho admits he understands why Dortmund fans may be 'disappointed' in him

Jadon Sancho has opened up on the pressures that he has faced since returning to Borussia Dortmund with the Man United loanee admitting that he could understand if some fans had been 'disappointed' in his form.

The 23-year-old scored his first goal for the Bundesliga outfit since he rejoined the German side on Saturday, helping Dortmund seal a 2-1 victory away to Werder Bremen.

Sancho has also been criticised by German media outlets who had not held back in their appraisals of the English winger's return to the Bundesliga, claiming that he had shown a vast drop off in form since his first spell with the club.

Sancho, who has now returned one goal and two assists in nine apperances this season for Dortmund, said on his goal: 'It felt really good. It took a while, but I stayed patient.'

'I had a feeling this week that I was going to score. I stayed positive, even if my performance didn't always show it and I've disappointed some people a bit in recent weeks.

'I'm not entirely satisfied with the game in Bremen either; I could've played better and contributed more. But we got the three points; that's the most important thing.'
